Case Study

Forest School, Snitterfield

Little Dragon’s Day Nursery is located in a beautiful converted church in the picturesque village of Snitterfield on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon. The nursery had ambitions to expand their outdoor learning and forest school offering for their children. When a field on the edge of the village and close to their nursery came up for sale they snapped it up.

The Green Belt site is highly sensitive. We were appointed to provide a landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) and landscape design for the forest school. We worked closely with the architects and the planning consultant to produce a design that responds to the potential landscape and visual effects of the scheme and also create a landscape that inspires learning and enhances biodiversity. Allotments, chickens, meadows, woodland, den building, orchards, play and pond dipping are just some of the elements that make up this exciting forest school design.
